Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Prior experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care strongly preferred
• Competent in cardiovascular monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and relevant procedures
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and respond to emergencies

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses to interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
• Provide patient and family education on cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document care promptly and thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergent situations
• Adhere to CVU policies, protocols, and safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement projects and ongoing professional development
