Contract Director of Nursing (RN, BSN Required) — Sistersville, WV (9-Week Local Assignment)

We're seeking an experienced nursing leader to join a Sistersville, WV facility on a 9-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. This role follows a day shift schedule, 07:00 AM–03:30 PM, and pays $2,636 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll bring

• Current, active Registered Nurse state license
• BSN or higher
• Prior nursing leadership experience—preferably as a Director of Nursing
• BLS certification

What you’ll do

• Lead the nursing team with clear, supportive guidance that builds collaboration and a positive work culture
• Oversee and coordinate patient care to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery and adherence to established protocols
• Recruit, orient, and supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs while promoting professional development
• Maintain regulatory compliance, infection control standards, and patient safety through quality assurance activities
• Design and deliver educational programs and training to strengthen staff skills and knowledge
• Manage the nursing department budget responsibly, balancing resource use with quality care
• Enforce hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across the nursing staff
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns and promoting a patient-centered approach
• Work with quality improvement teams to identify trends and implement care enhancements
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of patient care, assessments, and departmental operations
• Contribute to strategic planning and initiatives that improve nursing services
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
