Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Carmel/Avon, IN | Flexible Shifts, Travel & Lodging Covered

We’re seeking Emergency Medicine locum coverage in the Carmel and Avon, Indiana areas to provide supplemental clinical shifts ASAP and on an ongoing basis. You’ll work in outpatient emergency departments using Cerner and have hospital privileges. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are covered.

What the schedule looks like

• Carmel: Mon–Fri shifts: 6a–2p, 1p–10p, 11a–6p, 9p–6a. Weekend shifts: Sat–Sun: 6a–3p, 1p–11p, 9p–6a.
• Avon (weekends only): multiple weekend options including 6a–3p, 9a–5p, 2p–11p, 4p–12a, 9p–6a, 10p–7a.
• Patient volumes: Carmel ~16–20 per shift; Avon ~15–20 per shift.
• Rounding is included.

Team and resources

• Typical support: 2–3 RNs, 1–2 APPs, and 1 office staff member per shift.
• Department size: Carmel 23 beds, Avon 28 beds.
• On-site L&D.
• Specialty backup available: anesthesia, CT surgery, cath lab, general surgery, lab, neurosurgery/OR, ortho, radiology, vascular.

Requirements

• Active Indiana medical license or participation in the IMLC.
• Board certified (ABEM).
