- Call: Approximately 7 days/month (final schedule TBD)
- Team: 4 General Surgeons in practice; mid-level support staff
- Visa candidates: Accepted
- Teaching: Opportunity to precept medical students and residents
Clinical Responsibilities / Procedures
- Provide full-spectrum GI care in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform endoscopic procedures including:
- Colonoscopy (cancer screening)
- Upper endoscopy
- Capsule endoscopy
- ERCP (required)
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Percutaneous gastrostomy
- Bravo 48-hour pH monitoring
- Radio-frequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus
Qualifications
- Completion or imminent completion of an ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (if BE, must obtain BC within 5 years)
- Active Georgia medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
