Locum Tenens Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician — Telehealth (Portland/Medford, OR)

Join a telehealth palliative care team supporting patients in Portland and Medford, Oregon. This locum tenens opportunity begins March 9, 2026 and continues on an ongoing basis, providing supplemental clinical coverage and shared call responsibilities across two facilities.

What you’ll do

• Provide palliative and hospice consults, telehealth visits, IDT participation, and CTIs.
• Manage 3–10 admissions and support a shared patient panel (approximately 350 patients across sites).
• Work weekdays (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with 4–6 nights of call per month (about one weekend per month). Call is beeper-based and shared between two sites, with a 20–30 minute response expectation.

Who you’ll work with

• A multidisciplinary support team including RNs, CNAs, chaplains, social workers, and clinic managers.
• Documentation and charting in Epic.

Patient population

• Primarily adults (99%), with a small percentage of geriatrics (1%).

Logistics & support

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
• Coverage type: Clinical + call.
• Service setting: Telehealth.

Requirements

• Active Oregon medical license and DEA (for Portland); Washington license and DEA also required.
• BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (or within 5 years of residency).
• Current BLS.
