Locum Interventional Cardiologist — Seattle/Issaquah STEMI/Cath Lab, Nights + Weekend Coverage (Travel & Lodging Covered)

Join a busy interventional cardiology team in the Seattle/Issaquah area for a locum tenens assignment covering inpatient services, STEMI activations, and the cath lab. This ongoing role starts ASAP and includes both clinical shifts and call coverage.

Schedule and coverage

• Shift mix: Seattle nights (7p–7a) and Issaquah days (7a–7p)
• Typical weekly pattern: five weeknights plus one weekend per month
• Call: beeper coverage for Issaquah nights (7p–7a) with a 20-minute response expectation
• Phone consults: around 1–2 per shift

Clinical workload and support

• Patient volume: typically 5–7 patients, with 1–2 in the ICU
• Procedures: 3–4 per day on average
• Rounding duties: yes
• Team: 38 cardiologists and 37 APPs provide robust support
• Facility: 175-bed hospital with an 18-bed ICU and Level I trauma services
• On-site resources: lab, treadmill, echo, and EKG
• EMR: Epic

Common procedures and responsibilities

• PA catheter placement
• IABP management
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths
• Angioplasty, atherectomy, and intracoronary stent placement

Credentials and logistics

• Licensure: active Washington license or participation in IMLC required
• Board certified (BC)
• ACLS and BLS required
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
