Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist — Grass Valley, CA (Clinical + Call, Ongoing)

We’re seeking an Interventional Radiology physician for locum tenens coverage in Grass Valley, CA. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient services and is intended as supplemental clinical coverage with ongoing dates beginning Apr 27, 2026.

Schedule and coverage

• Coverage period: Apr 27, 2026 – ongoing
• Required shifts: Apr 27–May 1, May 25–29, and continuing thereafter
• Daily shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call: nights and weekends

Clinical environment and volume

• Service setting: inpatient and outpatient (including ED, ICU, and obstetrics cases)
• Typical patient volumes: ED 85–90 patients; inpatient/observation/ICU ~50
• Daily imaging volumes: CTs 12–15, X‑rays 15–20, US 8–12
• IR procedures: approximately 4–6 per day
• Admissions: 12–15
• Case mix: surgical, medical, ICU, and OB

Required procedures and skills

• Diagnostic and basic interventions: lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis with drain placements, CT/US-guided biopsies preferred
• IR procedures: thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra‑abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters
• Biopsies: thyroid, lung, and others as needed
• Candidates must have the necessary procedural skills and CA fluoroscopy certification

Required credentials

• Active California medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Radiology
• Fellowship training required
• DEA certificate
• BLS
• CA fluoroscopy certification
• Recent self-query NPDB report (extracted within the last 30 days)
