LPN/LVN - Night Shift Long Term Care (10-week Contract) — Albuquerque, NM

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a local, contract team in Albuquerque, NM. This is a 10-week, non-travel assignment starting ASAP. The schedule is Thu–Sat, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. Pay for local candidates is $1,120 per 36-hour week.

What we need from you

• An active, valid LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That includes administering medications, managing wounds, monitoring vital signs, and performing thorough patient assessments to help shape individualized care plans. You’ll also handle IV therapies, catheter care, and specimen collection (blood, urine, sputum) for labs.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Accurate medication and treatment administration, following protocols and ensuring correct dosing
• Wound assessment, cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for infection or complications
• Regular vital sign checks and detailed documentation of changes in patient condition
• Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care strategies
• Assisting with comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing basic life support when needed
• Following strict infection control practices, including PPE use and hand hygiene
• Safe handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies
• Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocating for patient needs
• Collaborating with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members to ensure coordinated care
• Occasionally supervising CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel when required

You’ll also be expected to maintain accurate patient records, stay current with nursing best practices and regulatory requirements, and take on other duties as assigned by management.
