Type: Contract (Non-Travel)
Duration: 11 weeks
Start: ASAP
Schedule: Tue, Thu, Fri, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
Rate: Local: $1,120 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license for the state of New Mexico
  • BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADLs.
  • Perform focused patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor medications, IVs, and other treatments per protocols.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds; watch for infection/complications.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and changes in condition; maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion, care, monitoring) as required.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Provide basic life support and respond to emergencies per facility protocols.
  • Follow infection control standards and proper PPE use.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and per regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care.
  • May supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
