Call: Clinical + call; ~7 days/month (TBD)
Support: 2 Nurse Practitioners

Position overview

Provide comprehensive neurology care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Treat conditions including epilepsy, Parkinson’s/tremor, multiple sclerosis, stroke, dementia/Alzheimer’s, headaches/migraines, gait/balance disorders, vertigo/dizziness, seizure disorders, and brain tumors.
Opportunity to precept medical students and residents.

Procedures performed

CT, MRI, PET, angiogram (arteriogram), myelogram, spinal tap (lumbar puncture)
Electroencephalogram (EEG), evoked potentials
Electrodiagnostic testing: EMG and nerve conduction studies (NCV)
Neurosonography and ultrasound (sonography)

Requirements

Active Georgia medical license or participation in IMLC
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology (if BE, must obtain BC within 5 years)
Completion or imminent completion of neurology residency/fellowship
