Join a Marquette, MI hospital as a Locum Tenens OB/GYN providing inpatient, in-house 24-hour call coverage to supplement the existing team. Coverage begins May 28 and is ongoing, with scheduled shifts including: May 28 (8a–4p orientation), May 29–Jun 1 (start 7a), and Jul 10–13 (start 7a). Call runs 7a–7a with a 10-minute response expectation to ED and L&D and up to 30 minutes when required for emergent conditions.

Clinical environment and responsibilities

• Inpatient obstetrics and gynecology practice with average 370–380 annual deliveries
• Typical patient volume: 4–5 patients/day; call volume: ~8/day (55/week)
• Admissions and rounding required (assigned and unassigned; FM residency generally handles unassigned)
• Supervise APPs and provide teaching/supervision for family medicine residents and 3rd/4th-year medical students
• Support team: 6–8 RNs; department beds: 15; Level II trauma center
• EMR systems: Athena and Cerner

Requirements

• Active Michigan medical license
• BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Hospital is stroke certified and seeks a collaborative clinician comfortable with residency teaching and supervisory duties.
