Locum Tenens Orthopedic Surgeon (General) — Bullhead City, AZ

We’re seeking a board-certified orthopedic surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage for both inpatient and outpatient services in Bullhead City, AZ. This is a supplemental clinical role with ongoing coverage starting ASAP, including beeper call at a 1:1 ratio (15-minute response time). Typical patient volume is 5–7 per day with up to six admissions; rounding is expected.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide general orthopedic care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage postoperative rounding and admissions as needed.
• Respond to beeper calls and handle callbacks (100% callback expected).
• Perform common orthopedic procedures including arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and joint revision/repair.

• Type: Locum tenens (Clinical + Call)
• Coverage period: ASAP – Ongoing
• Shift/call schedule: To be determined
• Call type: Beeper; call ratio 1:1; response time 15 minutes
• Patient volume: 5–7/day; admissions typically six or fewer
• Trauma level: IV
• Beds in department: 12
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

• Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 office staff
• EMR: Athena and Medhost

Qualifications

• Active Arizona medical license
• Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• DEA registration
• NPDB report
• Case logs for the last 2 years
