Contract/Travel Registered Nurse — PACU

Rate: $2,144 per 40 hours

Summary:
Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgery. Monitor, assess, treat, educate, and document to ensure safe recovery and timely discharge.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in practicing state
• PACU, post-anesthesia, or perioperative nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor airway, vital signs, level of consciousness, and overall patient status in immediate post-op period
• Administer medications and manage pain per orders; implement interventions as needed
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes or complications; escalate per protocol
• Provide patient and family education on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and communications; collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
