Night RN – Psychiatric Crisis (Behavioral Health ED) | $2,182/36h – Lewiston, ME

Join a psychiatric/behavioral health team in Lewiston, ME on a contract/travel assignment. This night position (7p–7a) begins ASAP and offers $2,182 for a 36-hour shift.

Required qualifications:

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification; CPI or other crisis-prevention training preferred
• Prior behavioral health or emergency/ED experience preferred
• Strong assessment, de-escalation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity crisis situations

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct crisis and psychiatric assessments, including suicide risk evaluations
• Provide psychiatric nursing care and administer medications/treatments per orders
• Monitor patient safety and use appropriate de-escalation techniques
• Collaborate closely with behavioral health and emergency department teams
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and educate patients/families on treatment and resources
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
