Travel RN – Transitional Care Unit (TCU) | Hilo, HI (36-hr Contract)

Join a supportive team in Hilo, HI as a Registered Nurse on a contract/travel assignment. This TCU role starts ASAP and offers $1,930 per 36-hour week. You'll provide hands-on nursing care in a collaborative setting, working flexible shifts to meet patient and unit needs.

What you’ll do

• Deliver direct patient care following facility policies and standards.
• Monitor patient conditions closely and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered.
• Document accurately and promptly using Meditech EMR.
• Care for patients with wound vacs, chest tubes, NG/G-tubes, tracheostomies, and PICC/PORT lines.
• Collaborate with nursing aides and interdisciplinary staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Float to Med-Surg or Surgical Pediatrics as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; TCU or Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
• BLS certification required (ACLS may be required by the agency).
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
