Join a dynamic team in Oakland, CA as a contract Speech‑Language Pathologist. This full‑time, 14‑week assignment begins ASAP with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel $2,383/36 hrs; Local $2,347/36 hrs.
Minimum requirement:
- Current, active Speech‑Language Pathologist state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders and determine severity.
- Develop individualized, goal‑driven treatment plans and provide evidence‑based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and dysphagia.
- Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on strategies, exercises, and safe swallowing techniques; facilitate carryover into daily, school, or work settings.
- Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on measurable patient progress; maintain accurate, timely records (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Participate in professional development to stay current in best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
