Join our team in Pennsburg, PA — a full-time Speech-Language Pathology opportunity with an immediate start. Your regular schedule will be 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
What we’re looking for
- A valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where you’ll practice or documentation showing you’re eligible.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
What you’ll do
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered speech-language services across a variety of areas, including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, swallowing disorders, memory and orientation, pragmatics, functional communication, and case management.
- Screen, assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans. Implement therapy, track progress, and perform routine re-evaluations to adjust goals and approaches as needed.
- Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to select and adapt therapeutic regimens for each patient.
- Supervise and mentor CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support staff in line with state and professional standards.
- Train and assist patients in the use of adaptive communication devices and refer for audiology or further hearing services when appropriate.
- Refer patients to other disciplines or community agencies to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate home/community programs with the care team and referring physician.
- Maintain accurate clinical and billing documentation, follow department and treatment schedules, and attend patient care conferences and meetings.
- Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing safety hazards, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment—reporting repairs as needed.
- Select and adapt activities to match patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, instruct patients in therapeutic techniques, and evaluate their engagement, attitude, and progress.
- Be a collaborative team member and take on other duties as assigned by management.
