Rate: Travel $2,121/35 hrs; Local $2,090/35 hrs
Requirements
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language skills.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
- Recommend, train, and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as indicated.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and home programs to support communication and swallowing.
- Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) for coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Facilitate carryover of communication skills to daily activities, school, or work settings.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
