Requirements

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language skills.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend, train, and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as indicated.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and home programs to support communication and swallowing.
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Facilitate carryover of communication skills to daily activities, school, or work settings.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
