Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — 14-Week Travel Assignment, Los Angeles, CA

We’re seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join a team in Los Angeles, CA on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This is a full-time role with a consistent schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $1,876/35 hrs or Local rate $1,848/35 hrs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
• Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to identify the type and severity of communication disorders.
• Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing techniques and strategies.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on carryover strategies, home exercises, and coaching to support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting plans based on outcomes and ongoing assessment.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other care team members to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Support patients in generalizing communication skills to daily activities, school, or work.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in the field.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we require:

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.
