Locum Tenens Urologist — Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage (Bismarck, ND)

Join a team in Bismarck, North Dakota, providing both inpatient and outpatient urology coverage on a locum tenens basis. This role is supplemental coverage starting June 1, 2026, and will continue on an ongoing schedule. You’ll provide clinical care and take call, with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered.

What the schedule looks like

• Coverage period: Jun 1, 2026 – ongoing
• Shifts to be filled (examples): Jun 1–8; Aug 7–10 or 28–31; Aug 17–24; Sep 4–14; Sep 18–21 or 25–28; Oct 2–12; Oct 16–19 or 23–26 or Oct 30–Nov 2; Nov 6–16, 20–23; Dec 4–7 or Dec 11–14; Dec 18–28
• Shift schedule: TBD
• Call: nights & weekends; typical call block 8a–8a with callback expected within 1–5 hours

Clinical expectations

• Service setting: inpatient and outpatient (clinic located in the hospital)
• Patient volume: ~15–20 clinic patients per day; 2–3 outpatient procedures daily
• Surgeries per day: typically 3–4
• Rounding: included
• Support staff: 3 RNs and 1 CNA available
• Required procedures: cystoscopy and dilation (no robotics)
• EMR: Epic

Credentials required

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology (BC/BE)
• Active North Dakota medical license or willingness to obtain one
• DEA registration
• Case logs and NPDB report required
