**Locum Tenens | Cardiothoracic Surgery PA | Clinic + Call | Santa Monica, CA**
**Why This Role**
- Blend of clinic, OR assist, and inpatient coverage in a single setting
- Shared call schedule with experienced PA team
- Long-term assignment with consistent weekday schedule
**Assignment Details**
- Start date 5/1/2026
- End date 10/1/2026
- Full-time coverage preferred with minimum 3–4 days per week availability
- Monday through Friday, 7am–3pm
- Weekday call 3pm–7am during rotation
- Weekend call Friday 3pm through Monday 7am
- Call ratio 1:2 with low callback volume
**Clinical Details**
- Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery coverage
- OR assist, rounding, ICU and step-down management, and clinic responsibilities
- Average 5–8 patients per shift
- Procedural and clinical responsibilities include vein harvesting, EKG and imaging interpretation, ECMO, IABP, Impella management
- EMR: Epic
**Requirements**
- Physician Assistant
- Active CA license
- Active CA DEA
- ACLS and BLS
- Board certified
- Experience with cardiothoracic surgery and ICU management
- 3–5 years experience preferred
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
