Position Details

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) and the CAMC Institute of Academic Medicine are seeking an exceptional Medical Oncologist to join the CAMC Beckley Oncology Group at the CAMC Beckley Cancer Center, a modern, free-standing facility providing comprehensive cancer care.

• Full-service oncology center with medical oncology, radiation oncology, and radiology on site
• Supported by nine experienced advanced practice providers for inpatient and outpatient services
• Integral part of the CAMC Cancer Center and Vandalia Health network
• Participation as teaching faculty for the CAMC Hematology & Oncology Fellowship Program (launched July 1, 2024)
• Fellowship teaching conducted remotely
• Academic appointment with the CAMC Institute of Academic Medicine
• Access to a robust research infrastructure, including opportunities to:
• Participate in or lead clinical trials
• Conduct investigator-initiated research using national databases
• Active involvement in disease-specific tumor boards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered oncology care to southern West Virginia communities

Position Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
• Eligible for or holding an active West Virginia medical license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation in the 700s

• 6K CME allowance
• 2K annual stipend for dues and subscriptions
