Location: Houghton, MI – Upper Peninsula, approximately 100 miles north of Marquette, MI

Job Details
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours (no call)
Practice setting: Outpatient clinic and surgery

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p
Preferred schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Week 1: Surgeries and procedures
Week 2: Follow-ups and clinic

EMR: Epic
Patients per shift: ~20 per day (minimum 4 patients/hour expected)
OR expectation: 12–14 procedures per day
Clinic rooms: 3
Support staff: 2 experienced MAs
Busy, high-productivity practice

Required Procedures
Cataract removal (including phacoemulsification, extracapsular, intracapsular extraction)
Intraocular lens implantation
Glaucoma procedures
Corneal procedures
Intravitreal injections
Anterior segment surgery
Ultrasound interpretation (A & B-scan)
OCT interpretation
Fluorescein angiography interpretation
Photo interpretation
Required Certifications
BLS

Requirements
Board Certified in Ophthalmology
Active Michigan license or IMLC
Hospital privileges required
Clean history
