Locum Tenens – Pediatrician
United Indian Health Services (UIHS)
Primary Location: Humboldt County, CA | Travel to Crescent City (Del Norte) 1–2 days per month

Pay: $150 per hour

United Indian Health Services (UIHS) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician for a full-time (1.0 FTE) locum tenens or permanent assignment serving pediatric patients in Northern California.

Position Highlights:

  • 100% outpatient practice
  • Established pediatric panel
  • Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Average census: 14 patients per day (goal of 16 ppd)
  • Routine pediatric procedures, including circumcisions, some developmental and some complex / specialty referrals
  • Travel to Crescent City (Del Norte) 1–2 days per month
  • Active CA license required

This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive pediatric care in a mission-driven, community health setting serving Native and rural populations. Providers will work within a collaborative team focused on continuity of care, prevention, and improving health outcomes for children and families.

Ideal candidates are comfortable practicing independently in an outpatient environment and are committed to culturally responsive, community-based care.
