Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a skilled Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced hospital setting in St. Petersburg, Florida. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of acute conditions and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary emergency department team.

 

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
• Provide timely medical interventions and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and specialists to coordinate patient care
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record system

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active DEA registration
