Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide night and weekend coverage in a community emergency department in Jackson, Ohio. The physician will work in a collaborative environment with access to specialty consultants while managing a moderate patient volume.

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Coverage Needed: Nights and weekends
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• On-Call: Not required

• Annual ED Volume: 18,527 visits
• Average Patients Per Shift: 15–20 per provider
• Total ED Beds: 11
• Fast Track: Yes

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients
• Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and specialty consultants
• Document patient care accurately within the EMR system
• Ensure timely patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting

 

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified through ABMS or AOA in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Ohio medical license
• Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Current certifications required:
• ACLS
• ATLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NRP
• COVID-19 vaccination required
