Locums Gastroenterologist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Gastroenterologist Physician to provide coverage for 1 week per month in Plattsburgh, NY. This position offers a combination of inpatient coverage, elective scoping, and emergency consultations, making it an exciting and dynamic opportunity.   This role involves performing 40 procedures per week, which includes a mix of elective and urgent/emergent cases for inpatient and ER patients. The physician will provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage, handling 10-15 inpatient consults daily, and conduct elective endoscopy procedures during scheduled shift hours. On-call coverage will also be required, addressing urgent and emergent patient needs as part of the rotation. Collaboration with hospital staff is essential to ensure high-quality patient care.

Compensation:  $450 Per Hour

 

Schedule

 

• Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call Requirements: Yes, as needed during coverage. 

Qualifications:

 

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Gastroenterology.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• New York medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong experience with inpatient gastroenterology and procedures.
