Clinical Psychologist in Johnson City, TN

Company:TeamHealth

Profession/Specialty:Psychologist

Location:Johnson City, Tennessee, United States

Job Type:Full-time, In-person, Permanent

Job Description

What if your next role offered flexible hours, remote work, a thriving caseload, and a team that has your back? Join our clinical team in beautiful East Tennessee as a licensed psychotherapist for long-term care across Johnson City, Unicoi, and Erwin. Compensation is fee for service. Expected compensation is estimated range of $103,000 to $155,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential.

About the Opportunity
TeamHealth, the nation's leading clinician practice group, is actively seeking a fully licensed, independent-billing therapist to serve patients in long-term care facilities (skilled nursing and assisted living) across the scenic Tri-Cities region of East Tennessee. This is a rare hybrid opportunity: primarily remote/telehealth-based with just one in-person facility day per week, giving you the best of both worlds.

You'll bring meaningful psychotherapy care to an underserved population who genuinely needs you, while building a financially rewarding and professionally fulfilling practice on your own terms.

Schedule and Work Model
This is not your typical 9-to-5. TeamHealth gives you the autonomy to build a schedule that actually works for your life, whether you're looking for a full-time commitment or supplementing an existing practice.
  • Primarily remote/telehealth: work from home most of the week
  • One dedicated in-person facility day per week in the East Tennessee area
  • "Round and go" model: you're never in a facility any longer than necessary
  • Flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle and work/life balance goals
  • Full-time or part-time arrangements available
  • Typical caseload: 10 to 12 patients per day within a standard 8-hour day

Compensation and Earnings Potential
  • No cap on income potential
  • Highly competitive W-2 compensation structure
  • Production bonuses on top of base: uncapped earning potential
  • 4 weeks of true paid time off: unused days are paid out at year's end
  • Full benefits package: top of the line coverage

Who We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you must be a fully licensed mental health professional who can practice and bill independently in Tennessee. Eligible license types include:
  • Licensed clinical psychologist (PsyD or PhD)
  • Licensed professional counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)
  • Licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT)

Experience in long-term care or medical settings is a plus, but compassion, clinical strength, and a passion for underserved populations matter most. New-to-the-specialty clinicians are welcome, our onboarding team will set you up for success.
