Call: Inpatient beeper call with 20 minute response time
Call ratio: approximately 1:3 with 1 _ 2 weekends per month
Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients
Admissions required: Yes
Beds in department: 10
Patients per shift: 0 _ 1 inpatient
Phone consults: 0 _ 5
Patients seen on call: 0 _ 3

Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient pediatric clinic visits Monday _ Friday
Inpatient pediatric rounding and admissions
Newborn and pediatric ventilation management
Intubation for newborn and pediatric patients
Interpretation of x-rays and EKGs
Minor laceration repair and circumcision procedures
Management of pediatric respiratory and acute care conditions
Additional procedural skills such as lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion, and central line placement are preferred

Requirements
Board Certified in Pediatrics
Active Wisconsin license required or IMLC eligibility
BLS certification required
PALS certification required
