Seeking a board-certified Plastic Surgeon to provide locum tenens call coverage for an academic Level I trauma center in Lansing, MI. This role supports inpatient and outpatient care, covering patients age 15 and older on a supplemental “call-only” basis from May 1, 2026, ongoing. Schedule: 7 a.m.–7 a.m., approximately 19 days per month (beeper call). Typical case mix includes traumatic and reconstructive hand procedures, general plastic surgery (facial laceration repair, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps), and minor burn care; expect roughly one operative case per month. The hospital has an annual ER volume of ~90,000 and current coverage includes one plastic surgeon and three orthopedic/hand surgeons. Epic EMR in use. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Required credentials: Active Michigan medical license, BC/BE in Plastic Surgery, BLS and ACLS certification, and an NPDB report.
