Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours/week guaranteed)

Patient Population

• Ages 12+ (≈95% adults, 5% pediatric)
• Volume: 30+ cases/day, includes out-of-OR cases
• Admissions: yes
• Rounding: not included
• Case mix: Orthopedics, Spine, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Plastics, General Surgery; out-of-OR GI, CV/TEE, MRI coverage as needed

Facility & Operations

• 7 ORs and 1 Endoscopy Suite; on-campus outpatient surgery center
• EMR: Epic
• Support: Multispecialty surgical backup; medical-directed ACT model with 4:1 ratio
• Reason for coverage: supplemental staffing

Privileges & Credentialing

• Hospital privileges required; temporary/expedited credentialing available
• Credentialing timeline: up to 4 months with active SC license; up to 56 months without SC license

Required Procedures & Duties

• Provide anesthesia in OR and out-of-OR settings within a medical-directed ACT model
• General and spine anesthesia; ventilation management
• Manage acute volume and blood pressure issues; arterial line placement
• Coverage for GI, CV/TEE, and MRI when needed
• Document care accurately in Epic; follow hospital protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with surgical teams and anesthesia staff

Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN license required
• NBCRNA certification required
• Active DEA registration
• ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years post-training CRNA experience
• Clean background required
• Local candidates within 60 miles not accepted
