Overview
Provide locum tenens CRNA coverage in Charleston, WV for a 13-week assignment beginning April 6, 2026 (40 hours/week). Schedule is flexible—options include 5x8, 4x10, or 3x12 shifts with typical start times of 7:00 a.m. and varying end times (3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m.). Schedule will be confirmed after credentialing. Candidates able to work 2–3 weeks per month may be considered.

Clinical Scope
Deliver anesthesia care for inpatient and outpatient surgical cases across the lifespan (neonates through geriatrics). Case mix includes general, vascular, orthopedic, urology, plastics, dental, interventional radiology, cardiothoracic/thoracic, pediatric, neuro, cardiac, and endoscopy. Rounding is not required. Patient volume follows the OR schedule.

Facility & Support
Work primarily in fully equipped main ORs (Memorial) with coverage across three nearby hospitals. Multispecialty surgical backup and dedicated anesthesia/OR support staff available. EMR: Cerner.

Privileges & Credentialing
Hospital privileges are required. Typical credentialing timeline: 60–90 days.

Requirements

• Active West Virginia RN license and CSR
• NBCRNA certification
• ACLS, BLS, PALS current
• Minimum 2 years’ CRNA experience
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts
• DEA not required

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia across multiple surgical specialties in main OR settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe perioperative care
• Provide age-appropriate anesthesia management for neonates through geriatrics
• Accurately document all care in Cerner and comply with hospital policies and standards
