Type: Contract/Locum (Full-time preferred; part-time considered)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Coverage: Clinical
Essential requirements:
- Current North Carolina psychologist license
- Master’s degree in psychology with emphasis on clinical psychology
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in psychological testing and interpretation
- Experience in correctional or high-security behavioral health settings preferred
Primary duties:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including cognitive and personality testing
- Diagnose mental health disorders using established tools and methodologies
- Provide individual therapy and group interventions for adult offenders
- Deliver consultative services to facility staff and external providers regarding treatment planning and risk management
- Interpret assessment results and formulate evidence-based treatment recommendations
- Document all clinical encounters and assessments in HERO (EMR)
Required skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Competence administering and interpreting psychological tests
- Effective written and verbal communication for documentation and consultations
- Ability to work within a correctional environment and maintain security protocols
