Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a COARC approved school
- Current West Virginia State License for Respiratory Therapy
- CPR Certification
- ACLS
- PALS
- Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care setting
Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory care and life support treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Provide diagnostic tests for cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records into the hospital's Electronic Medical Records system (EMR).
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities within the department.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
- Monitor patients for signs of respiratory distress and intervene as needed.
- Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Any other duties assigned.
