Join a Columbia, SC team as a locum tenens gastroenterology provider covering both inpatient and outpatient services for a 13-week assignment starting May 4, 2026. This is clinical-only coverage Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). You’ll split time between the outpatient endoscopy suite and hospital duties—expect outpatient procedures in the morning and inpatient rounding/procedures in the late afternoon.

Required procedures and responsibilities

  • Perform upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults and rounding
  • Float between outpatient endoscopy center and hospital as needed
  • Document all encounters accurately in Epic
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient care

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina medical license required
  • Board certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active DEA registration
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of gastroenterology experience
  • Clean background, name clear, and NPI required
