Job Description
Join a Modesto, CA hospital as an OB/GYN on a locum-to-perm basis providing inpatient, call-only coverage to supplement existing services. Coverage is ASAP and ongoing with a 1:4 beeper call rotation (12- and 24-hour shifts); expected response time is 7 minutes, with ~25% callback. Typical patient volume is 10–15 with approximately 150 annual deliveries. Department has 3 beds and is designated Trauma Level II. Cerner EMR in use; facility is stroke-certified.
Clinical responsibilities include management of high- and low-risk pregnancies, fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasound (Level I/screening and viability), routine and complicated deliveries, repair of 3rd–4th degree lacerations, and both office and surgical gynecology. Support staff includes 2 medical assistants and ~20 administrative/office staff.
Position includes travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance coverage.
Requirements: active California medical license, board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology, BLS and PALS certifications, and NPDB report.
