Contract/Travel Registered Nurse — House Supervisor role in Clarkston, WA. Start ASAP. Shifts: Days and Nights. Pay: $2,308 per 36-hour week.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the practicing state.
  • 2–3+ years of acute care nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS required; facility may require additional certifications.
  • Proven clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to make rapid decisions, manage crises, and prioritize multiple demands.
  • Experience with patient flow management and hospital operations preferred.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing staff across units during the shift.
  • Coordinate patient flow (admissions, transfers, discharges) to optimize bed utilization and staffing.
  • Act as administrator-on-duty to address operational issues, staff concerns, and patient/family needs.
  • Respond to emergencies and critical events, offering direction and hands-on support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
  • Assess staffing needs and reassign personnel to maintain safe patient ratios.
  • Support teams with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and escalation management.
  • Document incidents, staffing decisions, and operational concerns; communicate updates to leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative, efficient, and patient-centered work environment.
