LPN/LVN Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care (Clovis, NM) - 7-Week Night Contract

We’re seeking a dependable LPN to join a clinical team in Clovis, NM for a 7-week local contract starting ASAP. This is a non-travel role with an evening/night schedule (Mon–Wed, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM) and a pay rate of $1,242 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll need

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
• BLS certification

What you’ll do (day-to-day)

• Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction — medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments.
• Perform patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and help develop individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, ensuring accurate dosing and proper IV line care.
• Manage wounds and dressings, watching for infection or other complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens (blood, urine, sputum) as needed.
• Care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Promote patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care to support recovery and wellness.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE appropriately.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations.
• Respond to emergencies using established protocols and basic life support when needed.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and needs and support preventive care measures like vaccinations and screenings.
• Stay current with nursing best practices and participate in ongoing training.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
