Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu • 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Compensation: Local: $1,120 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Position overview:
Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction in a fast-paced clinical setting. Deliver safe, patient-centered care through assessment, treatment, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and assist in developing individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and verifying proper dosing.
  • Monitor, document, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Provide wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for complications or infection.
  • Start, maintain, and monitor IV therapy and manage urinary catheters per facility policy.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and ensure proper labeling and handling.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic life support when needed.
  • Follow infection control practices, safe medication handling, and proper disposal of medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to regulatory and facility standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education to remain current with nursing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
