Location: Keene, NH | Start: ASAP | Duration: 8 weeks | Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | Type: Contract (Non-Travel) | Rate: $1,292/40 hrs (local)

Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality bedside care in Keene, NH. This contract position requires clinical competence, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, active LPN license in the practicing state
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under RN or physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Safely administer medications and treatments, ensuring correct dosing and adherence to protocols
  • Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately and promptly
  • Maintain comprehensive, compliant patient records of treatments, responses, and communications
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and manage IV lines as indicated
  • Provide catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Support patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management
  • Respond to emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed
  • Adhere to infection control standards, including hand hygiene and appropriate PPE use
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations
  • Advocate for patient needs and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable
  • Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
