Contract LPN/LVN — Long-Term Care (Clovis, NM)

Join a dedicated team in Clovis, NM for a 9-week contract starting ASAP. This local, non-travel role follows a consistent schedule (Mon–Wed, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM) and pays $1,138 for 36 hours.

What we’re looking for:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll do:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians—things like giving medications, monitoring vitals, performing wound care, and assisting with IVs and catheter care. You’ll complete focused assessments, document changes in patient condition, and help develop and follow individualized care plans. Education is part of the job too: you’ll explain diagnoses, medications, and self-care to patients and families.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and prescribed treatments accurately and safely
• Assessing and dressing wounds; watching for infection or complications
• Taking and documenting vital signs and other clinical observations
• Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
• Inserting, monitoring, and maintaining IVs and urinary catheters as required
• Assisting with patient mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management
• Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support when needed
• Following infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Safely handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies
• Collaborating with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff for seamless care
• Educating and advocating for patients to promote health and preventive care
• Supervising CNAs or other assistive personnel when applicable
• Maintaining accurate patient records and staying current with nursing best practices
