Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Long Term Care, Night Shift (Franklin, NH)

Contract (Non‑Travel) Licensed Practical Nurse needed in Franklin, NH. Start ASAP for a 12‑week assignment. Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Local rate: $1,069 per 32 hours.

Minimum qualifications:

• Active LPN license for the practicing state
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct bedside nursing under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, documenting doses and adherence to protocol.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for infection or complications.
• Obtain and process specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, reporting changes in condition and treatment provided.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self‑care, and preventive measures.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, pain management, and overall comfort and safety.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, performing basic life support and following facility protocols.
• Follow strict infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to ensure coordinated care.
• When applicable, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to support high‑quality care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
