LPN/LVN – Long-Term Care (Bloomfield, NM) | 10-Week Contract Nights, $1,242/36 hrs

We’re looking for a licensed practical nurse to join a team in Bloomfield, NM for a 10-week, contract (non-travel) assignment starting ASAP. This shift-based role runs Tuesday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM, and pays $1,242 for 36 hours locally.

What we need from you

• Active, valid LPN license for the state.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Everyday responsibilities include administering medications and IV fluids, changing and monitoring wounds, taking and documenting vital signs, and performing focused patient assessments to help develop and follow individualized care plans. You’ll collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum), maintain accurate patient records, and educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care.

You’ll also:

• Monitor IV lines and manage urinary catheters when needed.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, comfort measures, and pain management.
• Respond immediately and appropriately in emergencies, delivering basic life support as required.
• Follow strict infection control practices and handle/store/dispose of medications and supplies safely.
• Work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care.
• Occasionally supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel, as assigned.
• Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patients’ rights and needs.
• Stay up to date with nursing best practices through ongoing education and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
