Location: Belen, NM | Contract (Non-Travel) | Start: ASAP | Duration: 17 weeks
Schedule: Wed–Fri, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM | Rate: Local $1,120 / 36 hours

Overview:
Provide hands-on nursing care in collaboration with RNs and physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. This 17-week contract requires a reliable, patient-focused LPN to deliver skilled bedside care, maintain accurate documentation, and support the interdisciplinary team.

Required:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care: medication administration, wound care, IV/fluids, catheter care, and basic procedures per protocols.
  • Perform patient assessments (vitals, physical exams, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, patient status changes, treatments, and medication administration accurately and promptly.
  • Manage wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and prepare for lab testing.
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with positioning, mobility, pain management, and general comfort/safety needs.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as required.
  • Follow infection control, medication handling, and safety protocols; ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
