Join a supportive clinical team in Franklin, NH for a 15-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel opportunity with evening-to-morning shift coverage (06:45 PM–07:15 AM) and a rate of $1,202 per 36 hours.

What we need from you

  • Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse state license
  • BLS certification

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician guidance, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contribute to individualized care planning.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to protocols.
  • Treat and monitor wounds, incisions, and injuries; watch for signs of infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs—blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration—consistently and accurately.
  • Keep clear, detailed patient records of condition changes, treatments given, and medication management.
  • Teach patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care to support recovery and wellness.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids, ensuring IV lines are functioning and secure.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion support, routine maintenance, and monitoring for issues.
  • Collect clinical specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and follow processing protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist with patient comfort and safety needs—positioning, mobility help, and pain management.
  • Respond promptly in emergencies, following protocols and providing basic life support as needed.
  • Follow strict infection control practices, including hand hygiene and proper use of PPE.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
  • Advocate for patients to ensure they receive appropriate care and resources.
  • Stay current on nursing best practices and participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned, to maintain quality care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
