Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Long Term Care (Clovis, NM) Contract, 5-Week, Evenings/Wed-Fri

Join a short-term contract as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Clovis, NM. This non-travel assignment starts ASAP for 5 weeks with a Wed–Fri schedule (06:00 AM–06:30 PM). Compensation: $1,138 per 36-hour week.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted LPN licensure for the state of New Mexico
• Current BLS certification

Core responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician oversight, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Perform focused assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and safety standards.
• Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for signs of infection or complications.
• Collect and process patient specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Support patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, pain management, and infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE).
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as required.
• Communicate and collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies in compliance with regulations.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and perform other duties as assigned by management.
