Schedule: Wed, Thu, Fri • 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
Rate: Local — $1,120 / 36 hours

Required credentials

  • Active LPN license for the state of New Mexico
  • BLS certification

Primary responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following protocols.
  • Manage wounds/incisions: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of assessments, treatments, and medications.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and maintain IV lines as permitted by scope of practice.
  • Provide urinary catheter care, including insertion/maintenance and monitoring for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper PPE use.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per policy and regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and coordinate with the healthcare team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff).
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
