LPN/LVN Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care (Santa Fe, NM)

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Santa Fe, NM team on a 14-week contract (non-travel). This position starts ASAP and follows a PM-to-AM schedule (06:00 PM–06:30 AM). Local pay is $1,213 per 36 hours.

What we need from you

• Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, vital sign monitoring, and basic patient assessments. You’ll document changes in condition, maintain accurate records, collect lab specimens (blood, urine, sputum), and support patients with catheter care when needed.

You’ll also:

• Create and follow individualized care plans based on assessments and medical histories
• Monitor and dress wounds, watching for infection or complications
• Administer and monitor IV meds and fluids safely
• Assist with positioning, mobility, pain management, and overall comfort
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care
• Respond quickly in emergencies and provide basic life support as required
• Follow infection control practices and handle medications/supplies safely
• Promote preventive care like vaccinations and screenings
• Advocate for patients to ensure they get the care they need
• Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
