Requirements

• Active RN license in Montana
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior cardiology or outpatient clinic experience preferred
• Knowledge of cardiac medications, EKG interpretation, and common cardiac diagnostics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; patient education proficiency

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in an outpatient cardiology clinic
• Perform cardiac-focused assessments and obtain vital signs
• Conduct EKGs and assist with other cardiac diagnostic tests
• Administer medications per orders and monitor patient response
• Educate patients on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
• Triage patient calls and manage clinical concerns appropriately
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and communications in the EMR
